‘This spectacular two part landmark series, a unique, joint venture between BBC (UK) and Smithsonian (US), is the story of how new arial radar technology was able to uncover a vast mediaeval metropolis around the temple of Angkor Wat in Cambodia. Using the information gathered, the story of the rise and fall of the Khmer during this period can now be told for the very first time.’

UK viewing figures reached 2.3 million per episode for it’s initial terrestrial broadcast.
