This is the 60’s / early 70’s Pink Floyd sound.
Rick Wright, Dave Gilmour and Roger Waters all used the Binson Echorec 2 Delay unit, and it was that in combination with Rick’s Farfisa Compact Duo that really defined the Pink Floyd sound.
I’m really impressed with this Echroec emulation pedal by Catalinbread, it’s very musical and organic, the organ sounds fantastic though it.
Inspired by Careful With That Axe Eugene, this was improvised in one take, with only a subtle UAD Lexicon 224 reverb on the final output.
I think the theme from Terminator somehow made it’s way from my subconscious into it as well :)
Thanks to Tiny and Ron at Hammond Hire, UK for such a good service on it.
